Registrations open December 1, 2024 for the
2025 Frosty 40 Winter Challenge
Frosty 40 started as a celebration for Carpenter Nature Center’s 40th Anniversary in 2021 and has evolved to an annual event for participants to embrace the winter season. We challenge you to walk, run, cross-country ski, or snowshoe 40 miles in 40 days.
Getting outdoors can improve your physical, mental, and emotional health.
Along with enjoying any of the trails offered on our 725 acres, participants will also receive ‘Friends of CNC’ benefits for one year! This includes FREE onsite snowshoe rentals during the winter season and discount pricing for programs throughout the year.
All proceeds from this event support CNC’s
environmental education programming and habitat conservation.
REGISTRATION
Cost:
$60 per adult or $30 per student (K-12th)
Participants will receive a Sport-Tek Quarter Zip Performance Shirt
Performance shirt is a 1/4 zip, lightweight, 100% moisture-wicking polyester.
Available in Men AND Women sizing: XS / S / M / L / 2XL / 3XL / 4XL
NOTICE: If you are ordering for a student, product will be a blue cotton long sleeve
available in youth sizes S / M / L
If you want to forego the Frosty 40 merchandise, the entire registration fee is tax-deductible.
The fee covers merchandise, shipping, and a $30/$10 donation. The $30/$10 donation is tax-deductible. Registrants will receive ‘Friends of CNC’ benefits for the next year. This includes FREE onsite snowshoe rentals and discount pricing for programs.
Items can be picked up at either the Minnesota or Wisconsin Campus locations. You will receive an email when items have arrived. For an additional fee during registration you can have your items mailed to your home.

Each year Carpenter Nature Center seeks financial and in-kind sponsors to make our events successful fundraisers. Sponsorships at all levels are greatly appreciated and allow us to further our mission of providing environmental education for visitors of all ages and abilities.
For the Frosty 40, we are seeking Event Sponsorships. As an event sponsor your financial contribution will help offset costs of the event, and ensures that more of the funds raised go directly to supporting Carpenter Nature Center.
- Sponsors at the $100 level and above will be listed on our event website.
- Sponsors at the $1,000 level and above can get their company logo on the Frosty 40 long-sleeve shirt.
