Family Field Trip: Life Cycles

Although students will likely not be able to participate in field trips with their schools this autumn, we are making our usual school group programming available for the public to attend on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays this fall. Live Animal Meet and Greet

Come learn about some of our ambassador animals! We will have different animals on display outside of the Visitor Center, and our naturalists will be there to teach you about them. Visitors can stop by anytime during the hour to meet the animals, learn more about them and ask questions. We will be practicing social distancing allowing space between families and limiting group size to 10 people. Free to attend, No RSVP required.

Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup

MN Campus Bird Hike

Join expert birder, Kevin Smith, on a morning hike around the Nature Center. Learn to identify birds by sight and sound. We ask that participants try to bring their own field guides and binoculars. Program fee: $6.00 or free for “Friends of CNC,” Hastings Environmental Protectors, Hastings High School students and St. Croix Valley Bird Club members.
