TRAIL CONSTRUCTION AND CLOSURES

UPDATE 8/5/26 – The River Overlook is now accessible. You can take the Self Guided Trail and approach the Overlook from the south, or take the Savanna Trail.

Red portions of the trail remain closed.

Please be mindful of the closures while you are hiking, and do not enter construction areas.

Carpenter Nature Center is NOT a rehabilitation facility, but we appreciate your concern for wildlife and want to connect you with resources that can help.

PLEASE CONTACT A PROFESSIONAL FOR INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO APPROACHING OR HANDLING WILDLIFE.

For injured birds of prey, please contact The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota 612-624-4745.

For all other wildlife, please contact the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center 651-486-9453.
