Raptor Release

Presented in partnership with The Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota

Saturday, September 23, 2023

11:00am – 2:00pm

Despite the intermittent showers forecasted for September 23rd, we will be proceeding with the Raptor Release 🙂

The event will be held from 11am – 2pm as planned, with the majority of activities being moved indoors. The specific timing of releasing the birds will be determined by the radar.

We recommend visitors arrive at 11am to explore the trails, visit the variety of educational booths hosted by our program partners, and stop by our orchard for pick-your-own apples!

Once we have determined a suitable time for releasing the birds, we will direct visitors to the stage area to observe these magnificent birds of prey returning to their home in the wild!

Join Carpenter Nature Center and The Raptor Center of the University of Minnesota as they release rehabilitated raptors at CNC. Event includes hay wagon tours, kids activities, raptors on display, and a variety of education booths from area environmental organizations.

This FREE event is enjoyed by all ages.

Dogs are not allowed.

Thank you to all of the staff, partners, volunteers, and supporters who help make Carpenter Nature Center’s mission possible.
