CNC has a variety of rental spaces available for meetings, dinners, and small weddings.

Flint Hills Trailside Lodge & Conference Center
The newest building at CNC offers a scenic hideaway for your group. Nestled in the woods, this private building contains a large meeting rooms (26′x30′), that seats approximately 20 people at tables. It also has 2 smaller conference rooms (15′x18′ and 15′x15′), which seat 5-10 comfortably at tables. The entire building is wheelchair accessible with a wrap-around deck overlooking a beautiful wooded ravine and pine forest. The rental fee for this building includes use of the entire building, a fireplace (in season) and fresh coffee upon arrival. CNC provides 4 tables, chairs, an easel and white board, an overhead projector, a slide projector, and screen. All are available upon request. Fee: $300/day
Scenic Outdoor Facilities
CNC offers 3 decks available for outdoor gatherings. The Schaffer Gazebo, Ravine Lookout, and River Overlook are free to use and open to the public daily. For a private event, these decks may be roped off for a fee. All 3 offer breathtaking views. Space is limited; Schaffer Gazebo and the Ravine Lookout are recommended for 20 people in a standing room only style as chairs are not provided. The River Overlook has been recently renovated and now serves as an outdoor amphitheatre with stadium-style seating for approximately 50 people. Fee: $100/hour each.
Canopies
2 Canopies are available for on-site use.
The larger is 60′x90′ and seats 150 picnic style. Fee: $1500/day.
The smaller canopy is 20′x30′ and seats 40. Fee: $500/day.
(All canopy fees include set up and take down by CNC staff. Tables and chairs not included.)
Rental Policies
Staff Liaison: Upon reservation, a CNC staff liaison will be assigned. Any further questions or arrangements will be handled by the liaison.
Reservations & Deposit: Reservations will not be confirmed until a 25% deposit and completed contract are received.
Payment: Payments are due in full at the start of each event. All fees are based on use of facility between 8:00am and 5:00pm. (Rentals after hours or those that go longer than stated in contract will be subject to additional fees)
Cancellations: If cancellation occurs within 2 weeks prior to event, your deposit will be forfeited.
Food & Beverages: In some cases, coffee is provided with the rental fee. All other food, beverages, and kitchenware are your responsibility. Upon request, CNC will provide a list of local caterers.
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted inside any of the buildings. Receptacles are locates outside.
Alcohol: Alcohol is not permitted on CNC grounds unless approved by the Director prior to the event.
Pets: Pets are not permitted in any buildings, but are allowed on trails on a 6′ leash. Pet waste must be picked up.
Clean Up: It is your responsibility to leave the facility as you found it. Receptacles will be provided for trash and recycling.
Please note: CNC Management reserves the right to revoke use permit or assess damages if any part of the contract is not followed.
